Mixing It Up

On Tuesday, October 29th we participated in Mix It Up Day.  Mix It Up Day is a national campaign launched by Teaching Tolerance a decade ago.  It encourages students to identify, question and cross social boundaries.  You can learn more about Mix It Up Day at http://www.tolerance.org/mix-it-up/map.

We decided to mix our students up by the color of their clothes.  Staff members from all areas volunteered to eat with groups of students during normal lunch times.  While enjoying each other’s company we also focused on three questions.

      ·      What is a hidden talent of yours?
      ·      Do you have any pets?  If so, what and how many?
      ·      What do you want to be when you grow up?

Ask your child what he/she learned.
