Your Child is Invited to BREAKFAST at REED!

Find it challenging to prepare breakfast for your children in the morning?  If you are like many parents, you find it challenging to wake up your children, get them dressed, have them gather their supplies, prepare and have them eat breakfast, and to push them out the door so they are able to arrive to school on time.  Unfortunately I cannot help with many of these challenges, HOWEVER, I can help with breakfast.

I am very excited to announce that on December 1st we will begin piloting a breakfast program provided by Chartwells at Reed.  Here is what you need to know about the breakfast program.

Cost:
$1.70 per breakfast/ $.30 for reduced breakfast.  Students will pay for breakfast using their normal lunch accounts.  Students that qualify for free and reduced lunch also qualify for free and reduced breakfast.

Time:
Students enrolled in BASK will be served as early as 8:25 a.m.  All other students will be served after 8:35 a.m. (when they are first allowed in the building).  Carpool and Walkers must arrive before 8:45 a.m. to be served.  Students who ride a bus will be served when their buses arrive.

Who:
Only students who have permission slips on file may purchase a breakfast.  Permission slips will be on the back of the menu each month.  Permission slips are required one time and can be sent in at anytime.  Expect a hard copy in your child's folder soon.

Menu:
The breakfast menu will be printed on the back of the lunch menu.

Pilot:
The breakfast program will be piloted from December 1st to January 30th.  If we have enough participants, we will continue the program the remainder of the year.
